Other insurance groups

Just wondering if there are other group factors that insurance is based on ?

My 182 (gr 16) - £676

330d se (gr 15) - £820

330d sprt (gr 16) - £920

Currently insured with Norwich Union and other prices based on all exact same factors (price and everything) ?? Am i missing something ?? Has insurance gone up quite a lot since April ??

You can get loadings on certain cars. Mines a group 20 but wasnt much more expensive than my group 16/17 I had previously.

It also depends on how many of the certain car has been crashed/stolen.

Its also based on how nickable a car is. Not sure if cost of car is a factor as well?

Come to think of it, i got some prices on a subaru last year and some companies wouldnt even quote me because of my postcode (F). Yet Norwich union quoted me just over £1,000 ? Must have something to do with the amount of crashes and no nicked in certain areas. Just wouldnt think that a 330d would be nicked/crashed a lot more than 172/182s ??

Ran the 330 through on confused and there was only 1 price under a grand !

I think its also based on how expensive parts are and how easy it is to repair (manhours that sort of thing).

And maybe it also includes like for like swap in the event of a write off?
