Other make car seats into a clio? What have people done?

I'd quite like some seats that are a bit sportier for my turbo clio, but I dont want to go down the bucket seat route as TBH most of them arent very comfy and we like doing bedford which is about 4 hours each way drive with a bit of traffic, so I was thinking about a swap for something thats OEM from another car and hence still good quality comfort wise but a bit sportier.

Scooby seems like a good choice.

Or evo which is along similar lines.

Or type R civic maybe.


Just wondering what others have tried and what went in fairly easily etc?

Would have to be onto the clio runners really as I dont want it fixed position as me and the mrs both use it and have different seating positions.

Trendline would be nice, didnt know accords had them although seem them in a few other things.

Trophy setup complete with the ready made subframes would be a good option but TBH I dont really want to spend that much if I can avoid it, Id sooner spend the money on some bits for the engine, lol

Focus RS would be nice.

But I was thinking more along the lines of a few hundred quid tops TBH mate.

Will keep an eye out, got a couple of mates into evos as well I could ask to look on MLR etc for me on their travels.

Some really gash colour schemes on a lot of the Evo ones though, so would need to be the right ones.

I genuinely can't think of any other OEM seats that will do the job. Not unless you want seats that weigh about half a tonne each!

Yeah, same here on the struggling to think of much else in terms of option besides the ones I listed, although the accord ones mentioned are pretty epic and I see they have been done before.

Looks like the frames are readily available from capital seating too, save me having to crack the welder out.

The type S ones look a nice seat though and are peanuts, probably a bit too far along the "comfy" end rather than the "sporty" end of the spectrum though for what I want (ie I may as well keep the standard 172 seats, lol):

Yeah, seen those, big money though.

Scooby ones are easily had for sub 200 quid for example, so was wondering if anyone has done those, dont look particuarly amazing but are comfy and good on track.

Bugger. Some accord ones went on ebay yesterday for 300ish. Wish I'd have known you were looking, it really is just a case of keeping an eye on ebay/scumtree/PH classified.

Personal favourite is probably Evo8 seats though.

Personally cheap wise, Cobra club mans, I have one if you wan't, its not mint but nothing a trimmers couldn't fix. Make me an offer, its being swapped for recaro's in my mini.

Evo 8 seats are similar to the accord ones. Lovely seats though. EP3 seats are lovely too.

No thanks mate, I have no interest at all in cheap aftermarket ones, they arent comfy IMHO and the fabric tends to be pretty poor, Ive got a pair of corbaeu still out of my corsa I just broken but I wouldnt want them.

Plus I want the back adjustable as well.
