outer CV boot / CV joint problem

ive got the shaft off the car (drivers side), how the hell do i remove the joint, cant see any circlip like normal?


please help!

I dont think it does come off, I had the same problem. It comes all as one part. What you trying to do?

put a new boot on, id be suprised if it doesnt come off somehow?

wak it off with a rubber mallet

ended up using one of super stretchy jobbies, universal boot kit, hopefully it lasts!

Aye thats what Ive done, did you just push it over? There is a special cone thing you can get. Or you could probably fashion one out of a 2ltr coke bottle.
