Outside Temp sensor and auto xenons

Noticed my outside temp on dash was suprisingly high when the weather outside wasn't as warm as i thought. Take today it said it was 23 degrees outside when it quite clearly wasn't! Then tonight i got in car to go to work about 6pm and my headlights didn't come on automatically? turned the stalk on and off but to no avail. Not had chance to check fuses but could it be a simple fuse or is it looking expensive?

the outside temp thing is a common fault but not sure of the fix. As for the xenons, have you recently replaced the windscreen? It could be the gel-pack that's gone.

No nothings been changed since i bought it in August.

switch the cars ignition on but don't start the car. Then switch sidelights on and off twice (i think) this then switches the auto lights back on. Failing this then the gel pack behind the rear view mirror may need replacing.
