Pad advice please.

I have Just fitted brembo discs Front and rear, mintex pads on the front and brembo pads on the rear. I also rsn mintex on the front before, however the mintex suffer from brake fade severly. They are actually worse then the OE brakes on my transit van!

Think i will go down the ds2500 route, majority of feedback back for the ebc and everything else is pretty uninspiring tbh. If only they werent that expensive lol.

I haven't heard Carbotech getting a mention? Do they do pads in Clio fitment? I know quite a few Time Attack cars use the XP10's and they are supposedly the best of the best. Carbon Lorraine are also supposedly very well respected.

The bluestuff's I had were alright, good braking power but the right disk is key! I had the pikey godspeed disks which were poo, with Brembo HC's I reckon they'd be alright or the price.

Fred - You still getting them CL falling apart or are you still living in the past? :) My CL's were perfect and never had the problem but for a daily there too much, trackday toy imo you cant beat them for price!

Yeah had another set last week, i guess my customers drive fast enough to get the brakes hot unlike you southern poofs ;)

LOL! Down here we're civilised and dont have to be hamfisted and club footed to drive quick! ;)

Anyways i've had my disks glowing heavily and caliper start to go purple, you cant tell me thats trying hard enough! Surely it must be the softer of the pads that CL do that get the problems with like the RC5's, the RC6's seemed to be fine. :s

I personally think there has been some problem with early batches of RC5+ pads as we've seen a couple of failures ourselves in random pads. Customers need to send them back to who they bought them from so they can be sent for testing.

Basically you supply them with a standard set or they get them for you off their local motor factors (£20) they do what they do and send you them back. Basically £200 ish.

Carbotech will do custom pads for any fitment, all my pads are custom made, just need to sort them an old set of backing plates out to make 'em on.
