Pads loose?

Had HC and DS2500 fitted yesterday but when we went to put the pads in we had to file them down slightly as some people do.

I went for a little drive just now and found that when i come off the throttle there is a juddering noise. could this be because we took too much off the pad? Note that the noise is not there under acceleration and braking.

Anything else that it could be?

I would think that the problem lies somewhere else is it one side inparticular that making the noise if so swap pads to the other side and see if the noise moves with the pads could have taken too much off but is unlikely.
