Pads to compliment HiCarbon discs?!?

  Cooper S JCW
Right, I am gathering parts together to upgrade the brakes on my new 182. Previously on my ph1 172 I had Hi Carbon discs/EBC Green pads/braided lines. I was eventually happy with this set-up but it took about 2.5k miles for the squeal to settle to a an occassional cold squeal. I would prefer a squael free set up if possible.

So far I have got Goodridge lines on order and I will probably go for the Hi carbon discs again but I just wanted to know if other people had any experience of other pads with this set up? I won't be doing any track days - road use only!

I have had a search but can't find the same situation

Thanks for your help guys and girls

....and Merry Chrimbo!!! :)

upgraded pads will always have drawbacks, thats life

most popular we sell are DS2500's, but they do occasionally sqeak when cold

I've got the same discs and have ds2500 pads at the moment, got them for trackdays but haven;t really used them for that. They do squeak when cold but they are very good at stopping you! Missus nearly her sisters head in the dash when she first drove the car with the new setup!
