paint bubbling on wheels

is it common for the paint to bubble on the wheels of the 172 cup? im going to get mine refurbished but i wanted to know if there is any chance of it happening again?

every single cup does it

get them powdercoated (£160 for all of them from me)

no its the alloy exposed to road salt after curbing that leads to oxidisation

Aluminium has a natural oxide layer on it anyway (for example when you anodise alu you're effectively colouring the oxide layer). It's probably just s**t getting under the paint isn't it?

yeah when its curbed, its left exposed

Only for a millisecond though. It covers itself back up pretty quick!

ur all right, it salt from the roads and trapped sh!t gettin stuck under the paint, which causes it to corrode. you should defo get them powdercoated.
