Paint Detail

Did have a clio but just upgraded to a focus st.

Bought the car in the rain so everything looked ok but when I got it home and gave it a good wash there were swirl marks all over it and loads of little scratches. Its totally my fault for not checking it over thoroughly enough but anyway...

Took it to Ecosse Auto Detailing and what a transformation, not a single paint defect on it and got it done well cheap aswell because theyre having 10% off all paint detailing until Jan 2010.

Unfortunatly I didnt take any before pics but the looking at the after ones you can tell its nearly as good as the day it came out the showroom.

Here's some pics I gave them to put on their website

They look really good mate, where are they based? Or do they travel?

they are based in north of scotland, Caithness. They are in Inverness a lot doing work for dealerships. They do travel but they like to try and get a group of atleast 3 in the same area wanting a paint detail as it makes it worthwhile. I got it done for £350. Thought it was pretty good seeing as I got told I would need a respray by garages all costing over 1500. Another 2 companys who I went to about paint correcting quoted me 500 and 595 so think I got myself a bargain.

Going there today to see about a part time job, think they are paint correcting a brand new civic type r.

So you come onto a clio forum, owning a focus st. No other posts or thread apart from one on how this company detailed your car?

because when I got the car it had a sticker on it of this forum, so I signed up, completely forgot about it until I got a newsletter the other day and came on it.

You can check my profile on focusstownersclub got all my details about where I work where I live etc. I live a 50 miles away from Ecosse Auto Detailing aswell so if I run the business surly I would have set it up closer

Woah dude im not that bothered by it. Especially not bothered enough to start looking at distance from work etc.

you musy be a bit bothered by the time you feel the need to interegate me on a forum for "trying to advertise my business"?

Yeah obviously can't tell the level of correction unless there was a write up of it.

Thank god for that, when gally said not quite a bargain I thought I had been ripped off lol.

Sorry mate I have no Idea what products, some stuff called snow foam and that meguiars clay bar were used when cleaning it and I know he was using a meguiars polisher.

Just give him an email and he'll let you know all the stuff he uses, he's forever going on about detailers advsing him to use different products so I'm sure he'd be happy to hear from you

TBH Luke, purely depends on what they did and how bad the car was. I do this as a hobby, not a business. I definately could not survive/make a living out of how much I charge per car, but that is why I have a large client base with a lot of CSers outstanding/yet to do!!

Was it purely paint correction, or a full detail inc rubbers, plastics, wheels, arches, interior?

All this is purely out of interest Luke :)

Yeah full detail, got all my rubbers treated, inside done, all the dog hairs done, wheels done, got the engine bay cleaned and got underneath steam cleaned.

What sort of prices do you charge?
