Paint Renovator, Engine Bay Cleaner, and interior shampoo

I need to get for the weekend something like t-cut, to rejuvinate the paint on my project car. As its my project car, doesnt matter about how good or not the finish is, as long as it stops it looking pink! I have seen the Autoglym Paint Renovator, is this any good?

Also looking at the Autoglym Engine Bay Cleaner, again is it any good? Also is it ok to use on other metal parts of the car? Am thinking mainly things like the rear diff housing etc that I will probably be then painting in hammerite. Oh and also the brake lines as they need a clean.

That then bring me to, I need a third item as Halfrauds have 3 for 2, so thinking getting the autoglym interior shampoo. Again, is it any good, and is it more frequent use, or for when theres difficult marks, or both?

Engine Bay Cleaner is good, M4rkie23 recently did a thread which shows you the results.

I'm not sure on the paint renovator, or whether you'd be better getting something with red (I'm assuming it is red) in it. A lot of elbow grease might find the renovator works. I'm sure Boosh did a red car thread which was pink before hand and vibrant red once he'd finished. :)

Is the thread of m4rkie23's http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=501139&highlight=engine+cleaner

If so, although he cleaned the paitned bits of the bay, doesnt seem to have cleaned the metal bits, is the engine cleaner ok for this? I want something that is suitable for cleaning up the inlet manifolds and also for cleaning other metal bits under the car, like ARB, diff housing etc.

Looked up the boosh thread, and the roof of that corsa is kinda how this car looks all over, and I was going to attempt it by hand...

Yep, that's Markie's thread. Perhaps drop him a PM and ask if it's safe? I'd imagine so...

I thought you'd be doing it by hand, it'll take a lot of elbow grease. That's why I suggested a red coloured polish, etc. as that might have better results if you're using it by hand as it'll probably deepen the colour. There'll be someone who knows a lot more about it along soon.

Just use Auto Gyle Super Resin Polish instead of Paint Renovator, the PR is a bit harsh and may f*ck up older paint. I assume it won't have laquer on it if it's faded. So SRP should do the job with a bit of elbow grease.

Swordjo I didnt think SRP actually had any cutting properties? or if it does, the mildest of the mild? This needs a hell of a lot more than a mild cut, as I said the entire car looks pink, and should be a brilliant red.

Needy T-cut with a red tint might be a good shout. Will see if there any other suggestions before I go to halfrauds later.

It does have mild cut yeah but oxidised paint isn't that hard to bring back to life. To be honest you would be safer with T-Cut that the Paint Renovator.

I did a full pinky/white to red a few years back with just SRP.
