You have just made my day!

That is the best clio ive seen on here, my kinda style looks tough but subtle

Whats it like with the 17s on? What suspension kit and drop?

Engine bay looks fantastic :D

Quick question, I notice you have chrome suspension top covers, where did you get them from.

I have been thinking about doing something different with my Trophy, and thought the best options is to have a really gleaming engine bay area.

That pic has made me want to do that now, just got to spend the time on getting it that way.

the suspension tops are made of polished aluminium - hillpower.co.uk sell them - Renault specialists.
I have H&R coilovers on the car - not sure what exact drop but all the way down at the rear and probably about 40-50mm at the front.
Its definately more skittish with 17's and do get more tramlining/torque steer but nothing that bothers me and think its well worth it coz looks loads better than 16's.

Ha ha shame the Oz F1 cups are now discontinued they look soo much better in 17s!

Skittish - please define thata little more?

Tim's car looks great in the metal. Loads of work done but all pretty subtle and in keeping with the style of the car, just how I like it. Interior looks nice too :)

I generally dislike 17s as well, but with the H&Rs they seem to sit just right, to be honest I didn't even realise they were 17s until it was mentioned in this thread!

by skittish I mean bit more twitchy - not in a bad way though I prefer it like that - reminds me of a go kart!
Thanks Ukaskew - had a decat today so doesnt sound quite so subtle any more!!
Oh and thanks Brad - well chuffed with your comments

timsclio - fantastic looking car m8 - I bet you're well chuffed! :approve:

Everything just looks right and in proportion on those pictures. Nice and subtle and it makes the person on the outside looking at the car think, 'just how much has he had done?'

I like the colour of the calipers you've picked, but it matches the rest of the car too well. Like others have said, a totally different colour would look superb on there. Maybe a light yellow, not garish like a nuclear lemon colour, just something that would catch your eye. Would look even better to passers-by with calipers like those being seen behind your rolling rims....

Well done...:D

D.

bloody hell thanks alot - yeah I am pleased - Have spent quite a lot on it now - havent done a lot to the engine power wise but am pleased with everything else, having my inlet matched at the moment, a chip in a couple of weeks and already got a Hill Power filter and Prospeed Exhaust and Decat so should be hitting about 185-190bhp I hope. Not much left to do to it now - would like a momo steering wheel and some cobra daytona seats and am having a strut brace re pouder coated in silver at the moment

The thing i love about your car is that it makes you look but to others its just another 172

the engine mods and bay tidying is pretty much the way im going, however from my last car which got cover, im a chrome *****!!

The wheels look superb,

Turinis are getting silly popular and im not going to be using the clio on track due to other cars to use so i think i may jump upto 17s!!

Well done Mate!
