Painting break calipers..???

  Clio MK2 172
Would anyone be able to do a dummies guide to painting break calipers?

Paint (where's the best place to get it, Halfords?, cost?)
Step by step, cleaning, sanding?? (how to get the best result)
How long does it take, like a weekend? (how many coats of paint do you need? etc)

Hope someone can help! Was looking to get the yellow or red paint and I wouldn't have a clue where to start and the kit needed?

  Chocolate Bar™
halfords or similar for circa £10 depending what size tub you buy.

use a gentle, brass, metal brush to remove all the flaky material that gets stuck on them, and then depending on how smooth they are some emery cloth to smooth them off. but depends on age of car and condition of calipers. then fully degrease the caliper using soapy water, or engine and machine cleaner and allow to fully dry.

around about 3 coats is needed for a good finish, but it completlely depends on how thin you apply the paint and wether you thin it down. i'll be allocating a full day to do mine when i eventually get around to it and i'll just put the car on axle stands and work my way around.
