Painting calipers

Stupid question....But I'll ask it anyway. What is the best way to paint my brake calipers? Spray on with calipers on the car whilst taping and covering over all areas around (bearing in mind I have no experience with taking apart brakes to paint away from the car) or can I get away with painting them with a brush?
Also how do I do it? How many coats of primer and how long to dry?
Any suggestions where to buy the paint from?
Thanks

You're way overcomplicating it.

- buy hammerite (brush or spray)
- brush the crap off with a wire brush and solvent cleaner.
- mask other bits
- spray.

Get the paint off the face of that brake disc.

You want a clean surface between the wheel and brake disc, flaking paint can cause the wheel bolts to work loose.

There wasnt any paint on the face of the disc between disc and wheel when the wheels were put back on. I just got a bit brush happy at the time
