painting engine cover

I want to paint my engine cover on my 172

can you use rattle cans ok or do you need heat paint?

do you paint the underside also??

no need for heat paint doesnt get hot enough,rattle cans are fine pal
no need to paint the underside of it unless your gonna be fixing the cover upside down
