Painting engine cover

Car  Megane 265 Cup
Can someone please advise what sort of paint I need to paint the plastic engine cover? Does it need to be heat resitant? I would prefer it in spray form so as it is easier not to make a mess of lol can someone recommend one.

Thanks

yep i have sprayed mine and it rubs on the black bonnet cover enyone no how this can be fixed

Remove the black felt. It looks s**t anyway.

can you actully just do that thow or will it make other problems like damage the paint on the bonnet or somethink ????

i was thinking more on the lines off glueing it so it dosent sag .my engine sounds gash wouldnt want to make it louder tbh

Nah, just rip it out. It looks bloody awful and if the cars done any more than 10,000 miles it will be crusty and useless.

You will need to clean the underside of the bonnet though, make it spick and span. ;)

Just a bit of sound proofing. But like I said, once its old and crusty, its useless.

I tried taking mine off today, but the spanner who had the car for me has burred one of the torx screws :( How the feck can I get this off now?

Torx on the engine cover? Can you not get a set of mole grips on it?

ah didn't think of that, Im at my uni so have literally no tools :(
I wanted to clean it up and vinyl it in carbon, but im thinking the heat would f**k it up

The cover doesn't get that hot imo.

I'm not sure how hot glue will go before it starts melting though. :S

Fcuk knows. You have to remove them when you want to check the oil too! No oil flap!
