Ive been for a quote today to have my door trims, new blank bullets and door handles and i was quoted £220 to have them obviously stripped cleaned up and made smoother in the case of the bullets, now would this be classed as abit steep or about right?

They do an exceptional job aswell

Pro Spray by any chance?

Sounds a bit pricey to me, but I wouldn't say it's a rip off if it's a proper job and they are smoothing it all off properly.

you could get a whole panel sprayed for that mate. Wouldn't bother. Could you not get hold of the paint yourself and give it a go.

Well just for comparison I got quoted for what you've just mentioned +

Front and rear bumper inserts
Dash inserts
Engine cover
Hubs
Calipers
Wiper arm + plate

all for £250 from a professional outfit based in NW.

No its not pro spray, if anybody's familiar with warrington, its down Winwick road behind FIAT/NISSAN, next to Antons Pizza.

Recon it would be cheaper to buy the paint and prep everything my self?

Id try it my self because i have a compressor but just not brave enough

It's simple enough to have a go yourself but getting the door handles in and out is a pig of a job imo.

yea been told that, the bloke dismantles the door handles to do a good job, but i thought 220 was steep seeing as he said the door handles would cost 40quid to do

Place in Poynton called Harpers Autoshop. I was put in touch with them by a mate from Uni, top job, Dad's car is going there to have a knock filled and sprayed on the bumper (stone in the lakes ).

The door handles are very easy once you know what you are doing, but are an absolute pig to start with, I'll agree.

Oh and Mike, handles I would pay for. Side bits I wouldn't. Did a better job myself with spray cans than a pro repair shop when I had a bump. Happy to give you a hand mate.
