Panel filter for 1.2 16v

Would a panel filter in the origional airbox make any difference to my 1.2 16v like noise, responsiveness, tourque etc. I was looking at getting a full induction kit but have decided against it now because unless you get a good one they can be counter productive, also is there any need to inform insurance over a panel filter, wouldnt have though so with it being in the origional airbox.

you dont really get anything, with a small engine.
An induction kit helps with nicer sound.
