panel filters for 1.2 16v

i am loking for a new panel filter for my 1.2 but not sure if these so called performance parts such as green and ktec etc. are worth it or if i should just go for a standard cheapo one.

i have searched the forum and found no definitive answer

i do not want a proper induction kit just a panel filter

A panel filter has an almost negligible effect on the Renaultsport range, bar the fact that in the long run it is serviceable rather than a consumable. You may find free flowing air frees up a minuscule amount of ponies but unlikely.

I am assuming the case is similar for the 1.2, so if it is performance you are after it may not be the best investment. Someone with a bit more knowledge of the engine may be able to correct me on that one though

You won't see a gain from a panel filter on a 1.2 the only reason to buy one as mentioned would be because it's reusable.
