Parts Warranty

Howdy,

I had an engine mount replaced under warranty 3 months ago... since then my warranty has expired and the same engine mount has broken. Ive spoken to Reno and they said that the 12 month parts warranty on the engine mount didnt take effect because of my cars warranty.

In short they want to charge me for a new engine mount thats replacing a 3 month old one!! is it true what they say about the parts warranty running out with my cars warranty because it was fitted free of charge under the initial warranty?

Nooo thats b*llo*x mate, they will charge u for fitting a new one now. but the part its self should be under its own warranty.

im pretty sure they trying to b*llsh*t u.

you should have a reciept for the work done? does it have a product code and when the work for done. u could even go as fair to lay on them, that their work and parts are dogey, there for putting your life at risk. just sh*t them up a bit really lay it on thick

they never gave me any papework for the new part. ive already had an argument with them and lost. going to get it fitted on thursday but havent paid yet so any more comments would be much appreciated!

he should have recorded any work they did? you should of had a copy and they will have a copy.

tell them you are not happy and will be writing a "letter of complaint to the nessary apartments of their company" and also mention some1 like "watchdog"

you would like a written receipt of their previous work and the work they are going to conduct. if they still insist on you paying up, then we can advise u form there. theres a bloke on here called ICEman i think!?!? he should be able to help u further if they make u pay up.
