I'm not talking 1/2 a tank opposed to a full tank. I'm talking running her lower than 1/4 of a tank, she then becomes (although still pretty quick) less responsive and not exactly at her best. :rasp:

That'll be why they never run F1 fuel tanks lower than 1/4!!! ;)

Here is another thing I have noticed, but not just with Clios, it's been the same with any car I have owned. It generally appears fuel seems to last longer (more mpg) when the weather is warmer. I suppose there is a technical reason for this, I'm guessing it is simply because the car runs on more fumes as well as fuel as the tank gets hotter. Is this the right assumption?

^ mine did the opposite once, fuel light came on with a 1/4 of a tank left and, from the speedo I knew I still had a 100 miles or so of fuel. It fixed itself next fill up

just fill a can up, wait till it comes on, drive like you normally do and keep driving till you ruin out, then you have petrol in the car, and you can tell the exact moment it cuts out.

I ran out a week after getting my car, though it would spluuter and judder a bit (I know itss not good for the car but hey!) but no it doesnt, it just freaking stops dead, nothing zilch, just stops.
