Pay As You Go + iPhone

I use a O2 pay as you go sim for work and top up £10 every 6 weeks. It is mostly incoming calls and I make a few calls now and then. I am after a iPhone so that I can use the sat nav on it, but was wondering what are my options as pay as you go, the O2 shop said I have to buy £15 credit a month and I get unlimited texts and web. I have to keep the same number. What's my options? Carry on getting top up when I need it and just see how much the web costs me? Anyone with any idea's?

Web will cost a fortune if its taken from a Pay As You Go Balance - £10 will probably not last a particularly long time.

You're probably best going for a tarrif which has unlimited web included for the lowest price possible IMO.

the o2 offer is a cracking deal, £15 for unlimited texts to any tariff and unlimited web mins. You can then use your £15 for calls.

Thanks Chris, I can see your point but that would work out at £180 and the text's I will hardly use as its a Business Phone, where as now I am paying £86 a year

O2 PAYG iPhone sim is what you want. Top up with £10 and it gives you 'unlimited' web and wifi access (for a year). The £10 is then available as credit. I have one of these sims in a flashed usb mobile broadband dongle and it works fine.

I don't think they do that any more matt, think its £15 a month unlimited text and web + your £15 credit

I wouldn't bother getting an iPhone just get a tomtom and a normal phone as you wouldn't use all the stuff on the iPhone IMO

I have a sat nav, just fed up with carrying lots. I will use it, I will use wifi at home and in work. Was looking to buy a touch but can get a second hand iphone for same money and can be used for so much more!

its still a tenner topup for an iphone payg sim, but i believe you get 12 months free internet on the sims...well you do if you buy it with an iphone. come to the carphone warehouse...il sort you out

I've just ordered this pay as you go sim with o2 for my iPhone - my contract is up and don't want to renew as already have an iPhone 3GS so saving myself about £20 a month now!
