PC check

Mate thinks his PC may have been tampered with, emails going missing etc.

He is in a massive legal battle at the mo, so it wouldnt suprise me.

Is there any software I can "get" to check it hasnt got keystroke loggers etc etc on it? Any way to remote control it or anything???

Any info appreciated.

Just run spybot for loggers etc.

Chances are that if somebody has got enough reason to put something like that on his pc, they would have bothered to hide it pretty well so there is not much point in looking. A look through the add/ remove programs list or the programs folder might show up something suspect but I doubt it.

Just get him to copy everything he wants to keep onto an external drive, reformat the PC and stick a password on it. If other people have physical access to his PC, he may as well keep private stuff off it from now on as most PC security is incredibly easy to get around if you know how.
