PC extension cables

What is the difference in the power cable for 110v and 220v? After weeks of waiting I finally have the transformer, can I just use ordinary power cable or will it break the machine????

An ordinary power cable won't fit into the transformer... need the 110v I'm afraid and also a 110v plug to connect the PC either to the transformer or to the extension.

The transformer that I have does not have any plugs on it! It is just the inards that you can attach whatever cables to that you want.

On that basis, can I use any cable?

Erm not sure... surely you can't attach any plug as it can't have all the different fittings, and even if it did then it wouldn't know what current to convert it to!

Have you got any pics? I would be very very cautious before experimenting with electricity...

It has connectors for cable... what you put on the end of the cable is up to you of course
