PC my car now or wait until the spring?

  306 GTI-6
Since i got my car in May of this year I was washing it religiously evry week using the follwing method:

Rinse using a hose
2 bucket method using lambswool mitt and AG Bodywork Sampoo conditioner
Rinse down with clean water
Dried using Megs water magnet drying towel
2 x coats of AG SRP
2 x coats of AG EGP
AG Bumper care on all the bump and door strips
AG Fast Glass on all windows in and out
AG tyre dressing.

Now however, due to the winter, filthy roads, work, lack of daylight I havent been able to keep this up, and instead have been resorting to quick blasts of a hose to keep the worst of the muck at bay.

What i want to know is, should I get my car professonally valeted in the spring when the nicer weather returns? Then carry on with my previous car washing system shown above.

Do many car valet places have PCs they could use on my car? and can anyone recommend a decent one in either northern Scotland or the North East of England?

you would be lucky to find a valet place with a buffer, and even luckier to find a place that can actually use it properly

you dont need to keep doing the SRP every week, get it to a good standard then just do the EGP and even that doesnt need doing every week, every time you use the SRP again your taking off the EGP you applied the week before

The paintwork has been a bit swirly since i got it, and would really like to have it sorted at some point.

Didnt realise that the SRP would be removing the EGP, does that mean also that two coats of SRP is a bit pointless?

a little but it makes sure you have good coverage, and it may add a little each time, but its diminishing returns really

If your looking for someone to machine polish the car worth a look over on www.detailingworld.co.uk.

As said SRP will remove the EGP. Two coats of SRP are only really needed if your not happy with the finish of one. The SRP and EGP process should only need to be done once every 2/3 months. Rather than SRPing all the time you may as well just keep adding on coats of EGP when you get the chance, but it is overkill to be honest.

I would just get a decent spray wax or QD to use after wash to restore looks.
