PC pads, where do you buy from?

always bought from autopia, the sfx pads, and especially atm with the exchange rate being so good. but i have to put in a good order to justify the postage costs.

where do you buy from that means i can just order pads and not have to worry about air transport lol

Yeah it is 5%

I get my pads from Time at CYC aswell these days the Menzerana Polishing pads are superb.

menzerna or sfx rich? currently using the megs 83 and 80 setup but want to find a willing customer to try out the menzerna IP and PB ssr ranges/

I used the Megs #83/80 combo on sfx pads - came up pretty well.

PB SSR range is much easier on/off though (same pads)

Menzerna IP - used it on my most recent clean with SFX-2 pad
Just as easy on/off as the PB and a really nice finish (in my eyes anyhow)

Since that I've got my hands on a full set of of Lake Country pads - I hear they are a great partner for the Menzerna range :)

I just need to get hold of a halogen light for polishing, I think I could be getting better results out of my PC - just can't see all of the flaws in the paint with daylight alone

Will do - hope to give mine a final inspection when I get myself some decent lighting - I'll probably make my street look like a scene in CSI with all this gear around the car lol :clown:

lol, just built a new wardrobe for my stuff for my car, looks like something out of a science lab!!

when i say built it i mean found an old one and put some rails in for cloths and some shelves in for other stuff ;)

I have a whole mixture of Pads, Sonus, Megs, Lake Country - the Menzerna Orange Polishing pads where the ones I was mentioning inparticular, has slightly more cut than say a SFX polishing pad, but still allows you to finish LSP ready with it - great time saver.

Will I benefit from better lighting as said above, or am I actualy doing something wrong?

Would probably help. Make sure your working he products long enough so they break down.

BMW paint - top tip get a rotary !

Yeah, I always make enough passes to break the polish down, so its a simple wipe afterwards.

I'm either not gettting all the swirls out with the PC, or i could re-swirling when im glazing/buffing somehow :(
