  soon to be 172
I have run a virus scan with avg and done a clean up with ccleaner.

But its still slow as arsehole, Youtube videos are slow and jitters, Sound comes out fine but the video is really slow and lagging behind it.

Anyone want to shed some light on how i can fix this?

Just gets clogged up sometimes to be honest and needs a clean out, not sure the best way to do it.

My arsehole is quite quick to be fair. Sounds more like your connection or is it slow in general at doing normal stuff, music, vids etc? Check what's running on startup under msconfig.

Try going into Tools - Manage Add-ons...

When my pc just starts going slow its usually something in there thats been activated, try having a play turning some off

just did a clearout with ccleaner and it was last done 9 days ago, Removed 912mb worth of stuff, WTF has the mrs been doing?!?!?! ;)

start > run > msconfig > start up > untick everything.
Use CCleaner to fix any registry errors/remove all the s**t.
Download Smart Defrag and run that (just cause you can.)
Reinstall firefox/IE and other media players etc.

Oh and go here... http://www.speedtest.net/ and post your results... like so

Instead of just unticking things which could cause programs to stop functioning properly.

Download http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/ get the executable only. Then post up what the notepad listing is. Copy and paste it onto here.

It will allow us to see everything you have running at system start up. So then we can properly advise you on what should and should not be running. Basically it will make a list of everything you see in msconfig and some other bits and pieces.

+1

Its best just to untick everything, 9/10 anything there you won't need. Anything you do feel the need to have on start up, set it up manually.
