PC to LCD

Is it possible to set your pc to 16:9 aspect ratio instead of everything looking over-stretched? only seems to look right when my LCD is set in 4:3 aspect ratio! Currently set at 1024x768 pixels on the display set window.

P.s. I'm running XP if this helps

depends if your graphics card supports 16:9 ratio's, mine didnt so had to get a nvida (can setup custom resolutions)

You will be looking for with a 1280x720, 1366x768 or 1920x1080 (no point unless your screen is 1080p, will just be stuidly small fonts)

if not then you can get programs to change the resolution, but they are a resource hog and tbh you money would be better spent on a cheap graphics card.

I have my 20'' Sony Bravia as my pc screen and use 1280*768 as the screen res and it looks ace

Have my 15'' lcd tho as backup as the tv dont like certain resolutions but thats what dual screens are for
