my other half opened my door onto another guys wing mirror yesterday, putting a tiny fold type dent in my door pillar, just had a go at fixing it as it was anoying me so badly (could see it perfectly from the kitchen window in the light, may as well have been a 2" dent) pleased to say it was supprisingly easy. You cannot actually see that it was there at all. Besides the access hole in the skin of the door, which is being sorted, havent decided if im going to fill and paint or just touch up then fill with sealant (spent wrong?).

Either way, the bit that was pissing me off so much is gone and you cant see that it was ever there. Chuffed to bits, very satisfying to do. Not sure i would want to work on any bigger pannels though, the metal is very soft.

What did you use to remove it?

you will laugh, but i got a coat hanger (previously used to remove stereo) and rounded off the end, then just bent it to fit in the hole you you could put pressure on the high spot

you can put it in the hole and apply gentle pressure and then you see the metal rise, gives you and idea of where the tool is pressing, so you can guide it.

Be careful not to push too hard in a point as it would just push the metal out into a dent.

what pannel is that for?

i had to drill a little hole to get the coat hanger in, deffinatly wouldnt fit a spoon in there lol

I've done it on the door and the rear 3/4 panels.

I can imagine other parts are a little trickier.
