Never really had many problems with people trying it on when I'm in the 172
Used to get lots of s**t when I had my Impreza and some persistent f**kers had to be swifly dealt with lol

From all the stories on here about people bringing it, I would think i found more cars trying it on. I think in the 3 months I've had my 172 I've maybe found about 3 cars properly have a go.

when i had my astra G 2.2 never really had any1 try it on but as soon as i got the 172 every sales rep in the land in there 1.8 Vetra/mondeo/focus/asta wanted a go.

I think it's more fun letting the twits who have pi$$y cars pass you. They then think they have an awesome car and start bragging that they took a 182 etc to their mates and forums. It's comedy.
I had a Corsa SXi try it on on a dual carriageway. I let him pass me but made it look like I was trying. I could see his delight that his 70bhp car just nailed a 170bhp car.

Exactly, they still know deep down that they can be owned and probably will be by the sport they try it with.

but yep some crap car tryin it on, but also some fast cars want to play which is nice! like an old 911 and even a R1 (bike) he stoped to wait for me then as a went past he set off, just got to the bend ahead then pulled away (even if it was only for a second) then we had a "fun" drive for a bit, till he got bored and left me for dead

i normally find it is only when i drive quietly that people have a go, when i'm pushing on no one seems to bother. my mate has had my car for two weeks while i was on holiday, and passed the comment of how much more people come to have a go at mine compared to his vee!??

Thing is with me because i just got a clio 172 i'm not sure what cars would piss on me or wouldn't. Like 106 gti's / golf gti's type rs etc

new GTI will beat you. old GTI you should not have my prob with unless its a 52plate(ish) when i think the 1.8T went up to 180bhp from 150bhp. type R is really down to the driver. (as with most of the above really) 106GTI should have no prob with but VTS/GTI 's are quick on the lower MPH area its only at abou 40 they run out of puff comp to the 1*2 IMO

Yea BMW/Audi drivers, I did have and im sorry to say it normally overtake a 1.2 clio 54 plate the other day and he didnt like it so then over took me saying look at me i can blow 172s away the chav t**t. In wish case i blew him away at the next set of lights.

Dont get me wrong i love my clio 182 to bits with how it looks when its clean or dirty but also how it handles etc etc.
BUT im fed up with every tom dick and harry wanting to shag my rear end when im merly out an about just driving minding my own, People at my work place are terrible with lexus ls250's to escorts an from small bmws to the kid with a vts who claims he has 265 bhp yet ive paced them all down the road an they not been able to pass me the first time so i dont bother any more after that.
