Perfect start in 1.2 Dynamique

any tips on clutch / accelerator technique for pulling off a fast standing start in a 1.2 16v Dynamique.

i either make the wheels spin, or it revs like mad and starts to smell like toast (my clutch???)

any tips?

Go on the renault website and find where max torque is produced and drop the clutch from around there. To be honest cant see the point though.

I got a 1.2 16v. i can pull away quick, i give some revs (not loads) get the bite on the clutch, then when i go just up on the clutch as i plant the accelarator a bit, works a treat. Just practice a bit so you dont wheel spin or ride the clutch too much.

No matter how good a start I get, I still get silly 0 - 60 times.. come to the conclusion, its not meant to get there quickly.

Answer = Turn on NOS......press accelarator and say bye bye to the mugs in their VTRs hahahahaha

Again I must be so old fashioned. I always thought a perfect start was when you turned the key and actually heard the engine going?

Hit the limiter and fast as possible without droping the revs too low release the clutch.

dont know how long a clutch would survive for though. should only be done in coutesy cars IMHO

courtesy cars rule. nothing is faster, my mates thourght mine was a 1.4 even 4 up.

i think my car needs to go back soon to have something looked at cos i havnt perfected handbrake turns yet.

wonder if i can claim i need one whilst they look at my glove compartment cos it dont open more than 2inches
