performance

Car  Clio 1.4 16v 2003
Hey all,

Iv got a 2003 1.4 16v with a k-tec 182 style exhaust and pipercross viper induction kit but i wanted to know if any of you could give me some ideas for performance improvements

i cant afford anything like turbos and atm i dont even have enough for a remap :( but some ideas would be very much appreciated.

cheers

1.4s are hard to get power out of. I had a custom exhaust, induction and it made 113 bhp on the rollers (Chip, f**k off you c**t).

I found that taking the spare wheel out, removing the back seats and having bucket seats made a vaast improvement. Wasn't more powerful but was quicker due to being lighter.

cheers for that, and i have tried lookin for bucket seats but like i said overall i dont have much money which makes it difficult to find any decent seats... id rather have reclineable if any of you know of any good places to buy from....
also have any of you heard of these sprint boosters i saw one for around £110 and not really sure if there worth the money it also said i need to have fly-by wire technology can any of you explain what it is and how i can find out if i have it.

basicly its a load of crap mate, things like that only bump up the fuel pressure and well.... fuk allot up. remap is a safer option than tunning boxes ( unless diesel) and so called sprint boosters.

cheap no cost mod, take all the back seats out, boot carpet, rear door cards ( 3 door equivelent ) spare wheel and tool kit.

less weight to lugg around, their for better proformance without engine mods. simple :)

Get a 1*2 and be done with it :P weight saving is definitely your best option. I did the same with my Saxo furio when I started to drive.
