When to Smiths the other day, had to beg a test drive of a 172 in met red.
The guy wouldnt move on the 9.9% APR, hence getting loan from Co-op (6.3% APR).
Offered me £500 for my car, not great but not bad either. Practically had to buy the car to get the test drive.
Asked what would happen if I walked in with the required cash without part/ex - again wouldnt move on the 11K price tag.
Asked about fixing the small dent in bonnet, said if it could be fixed it would be, asked about sorting out small chips and scratches - he said they would be done but only touch ups - so when they rust I get no warranty on those bits then?
Loved the car but imagine how awkward they would be if something went wrong with it.
On a further note about a year ago asked a sales man @ Smiths why I should buy a car from him and not an import, he went on about the spec issues (are there any?), he explained that I wouldnt get a good service from them if it went wrong, ie no courtsesy car, would make sure the car came last service/fixing list for that day, if it where done that day of course!!
Are these the worst dealers ever?
Any other baduns?
