petrol blue 182 on ebay

  Alpina B3, 172, 325i
hi all,

my first post- looking for a 182 and found a nice PB coloured one on ebay- just to say there is no evidence given of it having a cambelt change in 75k miles and the guy selling it thinks it's not an issue :)

I love the colour, it's stunning in the sun, but want a straight car. Looking at one from Doncaster that's on here, and that looks like an honest car, with belts done, oh, and turinis, which is just fine by me.

No wonder the motor trade has a bad rep.

oh well, look forward to posting my car when i get one.

Thanks

Link? How much is it?

It should have had the belts long ago. If it's cheap enough then just buy it and get them done yourself.

hi my reply was held for checking by the mods?

anyway, maybe because of the link. Up for 2999, guy will have the belts done for asking price. just feels dodgy that they weren't done 2k ago, as it has 74k.

It's 5 years or 72k so it's a fair while out.

Not a bad price really. I'd try and get it cheaper and get the belts done yourself by a trusted specialist.

that was my plan- price is low but i really don't think it's a bargain at all... there are a few really nice condition, well looked after 172 cups and 182's on here so I think i'll be recycling a car you already know on cliosport.

Thanks for the fantastic info and support available on here. I'm a paid up member already.

It's worth it for the colour!!

barter the price down and get it done yourself?

I'm the first sucker for a beautiful colour- I paid for pearl and flip paint on 2 bikes- but there's just so much potential for this to be a money pit and it's a bit of a step away from the 172 cup i was really after anyway.

I couldn't feel good buying a car from what seems to me to be a dodgy place with a dodgy history. Why do it when you can buy a loved car?

Lush colour though...

Those pictures are terrible go and view it you cannot tell the conidition from them.

Also the cambelt should of been done in 2009 at the latest with it being a 2004 model so its well overdue. I would speak to them about this if say they will do it for you refuse and ask them to knock it off the asking price.

Then take it to Birchdown or BTM taking a guess at where you live there is a few specialists about if you are travelling.

I dont see the problem with it tbh? If its the colour you want, I'd go for it.

Budget getting the belts done by a specialist off here (around £450) and rock on?

Bear in mind that the car has been for sale (from the same place) for about 8 months.

Is probably 7 or 8 threads about it on here now.

Search the 'eBay' section on here for more info :)

thanks folks, new to looking for a clio, not surprised he seemed very keen to offload with him doing the cambelt.... and no lowering of price.

I tried to buy that car about 4 months ago. The guy selling it is an arrogant Muppet. He's been trying to get rid of it for a while, it was originally up for 2400, i offered less and he wouldn’t move on the price. He then decided to put the price up to 3k so I walked. I told him it wouldn’t sell and it gives me grate pleasure to see it still hasn’t!

I wouldn’t touch the car with a barge pole, I live in the area and have recently seen it outside some garage near where I live. My advice is don’t deal with the guy he is a cowboy! And I would certainly never let him get the belts done on my behalf!!!!!!! There are plenty of good Clio’s out there, look elsewhere
