Petrol Blue Register - 21/29 Remaining

Car  Ferrari & Trophy 306
***If admins wish to sticky please do or equally if they don't want this posted please delete (I won't be offended)***

As some of you will know I recently sold what I believe to have been the lowest mileage Petrol Blue 182 left in the UK. The car is being exported to France and its new home will be Paris.

I spent over 6 years tracking these cars and have a list of 21 which I would say is the likely amount left now of the original 29 built in this rare colour.

I thought it may be worth me sharing this list as I have been asked for it a lot lately. The list I have obviously is far more comprehensive in terms of info; however it would not be right for me to post this. I have therefore simplified a list of the last 3 reg characters and the last know mileages at the last dates recorded.

The last car on the list showed a mileage of 55k back in 2007 so the clocks may have been changed back then. Otherwise the mileages have all been verified on the other registrations so should be accurate.

If anyone has a car that is not on the list it would be great to know.

I may get a Liquid Yellow in the future and attempt to do the same but we shall see!

Here is the list along with some basic info and the lowest verified mileage car before it left the UK.

Thanks,
Chris

Dread to think about colour matching these now with a panel respray.

Probably as difficult as Liquid Yellow to get right - if not completely redone?

That said, part of me still wishes I'd ticked the Petrol Blue box when I ordered mine.

edit - I thought ID paint was a £1,200 option too, not £1,500?

The one in the original post is missing its xenon lamps, a usual tell tale of it having been bumped.

Recaro seat pack.....

If only that had been available when I ordered mine. :(
Only £550 too, bet you could've nearly doubled your money ordering a 182 with them in and selling them on. But yeah I've got a 2004 brochure and it's not listed there. Shame it was only offered so late.

Yep - definitely wasn't in the 2004 spec when I ordered mine. I would have ticked that £550 option without a second thought. :)

Welcome! Good to see one back on the road. Is it standard? Any plans with it?

Cheers! It’s not standard (Recaros, exhaust, carbon airbox, Sabelt wheel) but I’m not precious about it being mint. My current plans are just to refresh it to good quality inside and out and enjoy it as a summer toy again, after it sat for so long.

It failed an MOT just before the pandemic, I bought something else in a huff, and it’s just sat SORN in my garage almost ever since. I’ve had it out and started a couple of times over the years to try and make some headway but it’s mostly sat unloved.

It’s had work on the headlights, brakes, front suspension and electrics (UCH completely died somehow) to get it into MOT-able shape, plus belts, new rubber, and a full service, but it’s still pretty shabby (especially inside) and needs love.

If anyone knows someone that can take care of bigger paint chips on a PB then let me know 🥲

@HAP has had his fully (mostly?) resprayed to an exceptionally high standard, don't think paint chips are easy to repair though.

Good to hear it will be used, the older, higher mileage shabby ones are the best ones, won't be afraid to drive it!

Been on and off Facebook for years, cambelt and dephaser haven't been done since 2014. And it's had the same pictures since it's first advert in 2021.

Seems too dodgy...

It’s a shame it’s ended up like that.

DA05 RWE

No idea on the validity of the claim, but has definitely had a colourful history.

Nice! It hasn’t had an orange Ktec induction kit in my ownership, someone between your mate and the guy I bought it off must have swapped it for the carbon ITG kit it has these days (which sounds great).

I should maybe start a thread about what I’ve done recently to refresh it. It’s finally in a place where I feel comfortable giving it the proper beans and chucking it about properly 😎

My friend used to briefly own this back in 2014. Does it still have the orange ktec induction kit on it?

Is your mate from Wales? I probably bought it off him. About 5 of us off this forum have owned this car, I had it back in 2014-2018 I think.

No...I'll try make this make sense lol My friend sold it to a mutual friends friend...who is the one from Wales

He didn't have it very long, I swapped my induction kit off it for a whiteline ARB as I was tracking my 182 when I had it.
