Peugeot 208 GTI

I bought this to use whist my main car had a bit of work carried out. It's brilliant, for a B road blast I'd pick this over a 197 or a 200T.

The only other Peugeot I have enjoyed driving was a 205 GTI. The driving position and steering wheel are excellent, its a great modern day "hot/warm hatch".

I had a black one not long ago. Really really liked it. Very underrated I feel.

Really nice these. What’s the rear room like?
Similar to a Clio 197, not much space in the back.

Maybe my expectations were low but this takes me back to 172/182's, much more nimble than the modern equivalents.

Great value too, I hope to sell this for about £4500.

Was tempted before the golf but couldn't find a nice one.

Engines can be a bit iffy iirc.

Mine was a 63 plate, in black, done 70k with proper nice history and 2 owners lovely thing.
I put it up for £5995 and the phone nearly caught fire. Never had a response like that on a hot hatch before. Sold it for full asking price, over the phone, to a guy from London.

This one requires a bit of bodywork and the wheels need a refurb. Full history though.

I think it is the same engine as the Cooper S? I think they can suffer from carbon build up.....

It would be far quicker than a standard Golf GTI in the twistys ;-)

Mine has done 85k, serviced every year and a major service last June. HPI clear but there are a few marks to the bodywork/wheels. I'd be happy with £4500.

No doubt they go well mate. As for far quicker, I'm not so sure.

But then I wouldnt have the rac on speed dial driving my car :)

It handles really well, it amazes me how quickly it goes around the bends.....

You can see my daily 490bhp Maserati in the background, I need more help than the RAC can offer!!

Before the golf I was looking at the St and pug. Just hard work finding one then the golf popped up.

The 208 is a cracking buy and would definitely try one in the future. 👍

I've driven a standard ST and I was left feeling that it needed more power, I bet the Mountune version is very good. The 208 is just great out of the box, it surprised me.

Anyone looking for a modern warm/hot hatch should try a 208.

‘How long you had it mate?’

How come you’re selling mate?’

Two questions I’m constantly answering when I sell a car.

It's on eBay as well and I have had that question several times, people do seem suspicious that I have not owned it long.

  Shit little Yaris...
Had 4 between me and the missus.

2 x Prestige (About to flog a 18 plate 6000 mile minter) and 2 x By PeugeotSport variant. Chalk and cheese.

The later 208THP engine is a better unit than the 200THP.

Steer clear or COMKOTES Tuning - they are rip-off scam artists. Dervtech FTW!

What do you answer with?

I remembered I’m not 87 with bladder problems?

How long have you had it mate? Lol
lol....

4 weeks. My Maserati was off the road for that period so I just needed something that was fairly interesting to use daily, this has been perfect!
