Yeah they are 17's, guess i put them on for show really as my 15's look cack.

Not sure why the TB comment was made? Hasn't been back to explain?

A little village ampthill/flitwick way :) You local mate?

We saw a racing blue one a couple of weeks ago, think it was on the 507, cant remember exactly now though.

performance GTI is that the mag??

Ive looked every bloody where for this,
is that the best renault mag to buy then?

£3k+ for less torque than Andy's non TB'd car - that's why the TB comment was made. Surprised me that's all. No explanation given in the article which would have been useful. Not like GDI doesn't know what was done to the car.

Interesting article none the less. Should have been Performance Clio magazine. 'Bout time they got some more coverage. Move over Peugeot!

...wasn't meant to sound like dissing someone's car, just surprised at the figures. Poor journalism too, not finding out why that result could have occurred. Was it something to do with different cam profiles Andy?

I think 178lbs/ft of torque is a pretty good figure for ITB's, i doubt more could be achieved without headwork. I'm led to believe that the torque is created through induction length, due to the fact my induction length is now relatively short in comparison to a more standard set up (inlet manifold etc...) it's easier to see why Andy's and a few of his customers cars created more torque than me. Correct me if i'm wrong someone :S :D

Carl.

That was probably me mate!! I frequent the A507 very often

Clio-lane; IIRC mate the ITB car (lucky's) has different cams to Andy's...designed to make power at the top of the rev range i believe. If lucky's car ran a similar profile to Andy's then torque figures would no doubt be comparable.

End of the day figures dont mean everything....I drove lucky's car; it was fast and made me smile! Money well spent!

edit: Shut it Freddy boy lol

Our paths will probably cross again then, we are in MK and my sis in law is in Ampthill. :)

Yeah, something was mentioned like his speedo went to 186mph or something then stopped but the revs kept climbing? Can't remember what bikes were there.

My Uncle's Suzuki K5's speedo stops at 186mph and he's had atleast 200mph out of it. It's unbelievebly fast :S And then during the winter he get's to ride round in his Alfa 147 GTA  I'm not jealous one bit :clown:

the yozzasport tb clio has different cams? hows the torque figure on that? 40lbft & 50bhp seems reasonable on an na car surley for that money, its a route im considering, not seen the mag yet as whs in farnham dont do it pfft
