Ph1 172 Central Locking Issues

Hi guys,
Firstly yes I have searched, I couldn't find the relevant information.
Central locking works on the inside button, but nothing outside.
Found information about resetting key, did that, no difference. Found information about the receiver getting wet, took the interior light out, and there's nothing in there at all, no wiring or circuit board.
Anyone shine any light on this for me?

Interior light would be on a Mk1 Clio where they had an IR receiver.

It'll be a problem with the key coding. One if my keys doesn't unlock it on the button.

bumping this - happened to me today, key worked when i parked, didn't work 3 hours later.
starts fine, it's just the button that doesn't work.
led flashes, so it's not battery.

is this fixable or do i need to get a new key?

I never sorted mine in the end, just press the button before I get out and then lock the drivers door with the key

Same here.

My CL and Immob started playing up. Dongle from remotekey fixed it for me.
I put it down to the transponder round the barrel but chose a dongle to avoid pairing issues with 2nd parts (if the transponder ring is actually paired. No idea.)
