Ph1 172 immobiliser problems

The car cranks but doesn't fire , i can hear the pump prime on ignition , theres fuel at the rail

the immobiliser flashes when the ignition is on

plip did work but after a few attempts of locking / unlocking the car it now doesn't

the key has a brand new battery

alarm sounds every 5 seconds when the fuse is in (cobra alarm)


Can anyone shed any light on this ? before i buy a new key

It does sound like a duff key buddy, get a second opinion though
