Ph1 172 irratic tick over after running for a while

I've had this problem for a couple of months, what confusses me is that if I turn the car off and then back on it resets it to normal tick over. So I don't think it can be a mechnical problem.

Anyone got any suggests?

Needs plugging in mate. Suspect a fuelling fault

Thanks Mick, I think you've given me that advise once already. Thanks again matey. I have taken to Renault recently but had shockingly poor service.
