Ph1 172 Slightly High Idle

  Storm Grey 200
My 172 idles at 1k-1.5k, which is slightly high?

I have cleaned the throttle body and the idle control valve. Anything else?

Lots of these cropping up at the moment. Most likely the spring on the side of the throttle body. Park up and get it idling at 1.5k revs. Then open the bonnet and manually close the throttle body (ie twist the black plastic circle). Should drop back down. Mine's doing it at the moment, I've been told it's new throttle body time. Group buy lol?

a shagged/sticing throttle cable can cause this too. If its not been replaced then it could be knackered.

Had this on mine, Bomber's, willT's etc etc
