ph1 172 stuck in nuteral

i just picked up a ph1 172 today. the car is perfect almost as its stuck solid in nuteral. the gearstick wont move at all, is this common or do i need a new box ??

I bought it like this. It was running fine on Friday then it jammed

Maybe the selector rod has slipped or jammed in place

May be worth getting under the car and having a look first, before the engine comes out
