PH1 Aerial help

hi, just wondering if anyone can help me with the ridiculous 5 foot aerial on the phase 1, tried to unscrew with a pair of pliers and no luck. the things seems indestructible!

Had the same problem with my old one as well. Stripped all the plastic off trying to pry it out.
Ended up just removing the whole thing including the base and replacing it all. Base was sub £10 from ebay iirc.
