Ph1 + BMW = Rehab

Earlier that day, we'd been go-karting and stopped at a church nearby to get some photos. The car looked like this:

Popped down to the nearest beach, chosen at random to fly my 3m power-kite, leaving the Clio in a practically empty car park for an hour.

We wander back to the car, and were presented with this :dead: ...:

NB: it was straight, and at the front of the space when I left it...!

The guy left all his details which is amazing, and has restored my faith in people a little bit !

I retuned home on Weds, and got delivered this as a courtesy barge yesterday ..

2.0 138hp diesel with all the toys...! :cool:

Just waiting now for the Clio to go to the assessors and get fixed :(

lol@courtesy car, they are a bit random in most cases! Sorry to see your car, but it's good that he left his details. Hope it gets sorted soon matey.

Unlucky, and fair f**king play to the fella who left his details.

Accidents happen, and it would've been all to easy for him to leave your car like that and he would've probably never been seen again.

Top man, imo.

Well done to the BMW owner. I would be the same, i could not drive off knowin i'd damaged somebody elses pride and joy!

wtf? I got a like for like courtesy car with the the 75 which apparently is a 3 door boggo spec astra (75 is obiviously 4 door saloon but has all the toys, tb, satnav, everything) and you get that! no fair. lol.

Gutted for you though mate, at least they left their details

Love your car man! Shame to see it like that, good on the BMW, i know what you mean about resotring faith in people, someone hit mine and left a note once, was a massive mix of anger and happyness.

One thing, did he explain how he managed to hit your car in what looks like a basically empty car park?

Just the rear bumper. He spoke to me today, and asked if we could do it privately, but i suggested it would be in the region of a grand to sort out and he soon retracted his offer lol. Plus I'd already gone through mine !! I'm sure my hire car for a couple of weeks will cost more than his £350 excess...

He said that he wasn't worried about the damage on his, so I presume mine took most of the bunt of it !

HAHA.. Well I'd rather be in something that goes round corners with purpose and has a power band of more than 1800-3000 RPM, but its better than a Micra haha :cool:

This is what happens when you go stealth.. people can't see your car. :p Horrible to see your car like that, just glad he was decent enough to sort it out. Hope everything gets fixed asap mate.

All of that can be repaired apart from headlight and bumper from what i can see.

s**t one all the same mate, at least he left his details.

Hire cars are usually like for like and courtesy are usually whatever the bodyshop has. So im quite suprised thats your hire car.

PS, what lens you using ? sigma ?

Looks Like it will need a new headlight, bumper, inner arch and wing.....I think the bonnet will be ok.

TBH it looks to me like all it'll need is a headlight and probably some brackets back there, maybe even the front panel/inner wing straightened out a bit. All the outer panels are easily repairable so you should be fine :) Hope it's sorted soon.

You can't see from the pics, thats why I said "If.."

But a few panels and paint will easily be over a grand. The car is probably worth £2k-ish?

I left my car in a car park on sat and was away from it for 5 mins! came back to find someone had driven down the side! managed to polish out the scratchs but has left a dent and marked the bump strip on the passenger side......but the person who did it was no where to be seen! :mad:

If I ever damaged anyone else's car (by accident) I would be leaving my contact details - just annoys you when someone does something like that and doesn't own up.

Its good though mate that the guy left his :)

Damage doesn't look too serious so hopefully it'll be alright.

Well done to the guy for owning up to it though. Just a shame he managed to crash in an empty carpark.

*update* Ph1 in rehab

Quick update...

Clio in surgery at the moment ... new bumper / wing / 2x lights / plastic slam panel (+ body part joined to it above bonnet :S )

Hopefully will be back this coming week because good grief i am missing it. Life at 1800-2500 RPM sucks in the barge :dead:

ooo nasty mate, so annoying!! that's really odd how the guy managed that. nice car mate, hope you get it sorted. i like the last dusk shot of the barge though, very clever.
