Ph1 suspension refresh suggestion

  Megane R26
Am I right in thinking 172 Cup front & rear dampers fit direct on a ph1 with Cooksports?

What lower arms?
172 Cup?

Are rear damper top poly bush mounts worth it?

Is the ph2 front arb thicker? Can it be swapped From ph1 to ph2?

I have solid top mounts and would fit new Inner and outer TRE.

Anything else to do while at it?

  Hi comp phase 1
Your be fine with the shocks and dampers as long as the front are the 54mm bolt spacing.

The cup lower arm will also fit fine

I'm not too sure on the front roll bar.. ph2 cup is thicker but it also has a different subframe to the ph1. The mountings maybe the same...could always change to ph2 subframe/drive shafts etc and gain a wider track as well.

I have a spare ph2 subframe with polybush Arb, can that be swapped? And bang on some 172 Cup lower arms providing outer ARB mounts are in the same place?

Thanks for confirming dampers, 54 mm Front 172 Cup and rear 172 or 182 Cup packed will fit straight on.

  Hi comp phase 1
The dog bone mount is different between ph1 and ph2 so you'll need one of those too if you go for the swap.
As @imprezaworks said..only 54mm bolt spacing shocks will fit your hubs..172 cup.

Sorry I missed the tag in this post.

I'd go with a cup subframe, dogbone and arb. I ran ph1 shafts on that setup with no problems.

No probs.
So just to get this right -
Ph1 car
+172 cup shocks
+Keep ph2 dogmount
+keep my 182 subframe?
172 Cup arb same as 182 FF?

Final question
Are my 182 lower arms ok with this set up?
Ph1 or 182 track rod ends?

So-
182 subframe & arb
Ph2 dogmount
172 Cup shocks
Ph1 172 hubs
Pms top mounts

Looking to do this next week.

  Hi comp phase 1
Yep lower arms will be fine.. should give you more caster.
I’m not entirely sure but as the 182 subframe is wider you’ll need 182 track rods...again with driveshafts...probably need to be 182

Awesome. Have new TREs and polybushed lower arms off my 182!
