ph1 Yellow 172

  Lots of Alfas
They are quite rare as they only made 30. I nearly bought one, in the end I found a bargain red one that I couldnt resist. I think Middo had the sunflower I was after!

Id be interested to know how many ph1 172 have been written off, I can think of 2 yellows.

I wanted a red or yellow one, but when I was looking there were no decent ones around, so in the end went for silver.

If your prepared to wait and travel then you will get a good one.

  172 Cup
well i have about a month before i need a car so hopefully one should come up in that time

There was one on ebay recently. Stupid dumb fooker who was selling it has ruined it with gash decals, s**t wheels etc. Do a search in the ebay section. I started the thread. If its forsale still it probably wouldnt take much to make it standard and mint again. Just the engine probably will have been abused.

just looked it only sold for £2500 i would of had that and restored it back to glory lol

The colour suits the car imo.

They look awful imho.

Sunflower wasn't a cost option and it wasn't a limited edition. The only reason they are rare is because no one wanted one. And now, because there are so few of them, people find the colour attractive!

If you look it objectively the Ph1 172 looks s**t in yellow. It looks far better in silver.

That kind of shitty yellow reminds me of the chavved up cinqeucento's you used to see everywhere for some reason lol

Well it's 50% fact and 50% opinion. They only sold 31 of them. The only reason that can be is because no one wanted the colour. Those are the facts.

And as for the rest... well the world would be a very boring place if we all liked the same things! That colour yellow would look more at home on a van tbh.

Which I why I dissagree with most of what you said, dissagree with the opinion, but can't dissagree with the fact!

Youve got a point about people not ordering it, but I still think its the best colour for the ph1.

My colour is very rare, does that make it s**t, too? :(

I think it suits the Ph1 very well and the pictures of the cars in this thread that have been posted or linked to, make the car look great.
I just think it is down to whether you can live with the colour everyday.

Yes.

Not a fan of the ph1 looks in general, but there's a good reason why they shifted over a 1000 in this colour imh

I really like the sunflower yellow. In its day it brightened up a rather dull row of silver cars. Thought this would have been a popular choice, but I guess most owners were real men back in the day. I suspect many more liked the colour than had the nerve to order it though. ;)

No need to apologise lol Like I said it would be boring if we all liked the same things. I just think the solid yellow looks very tacky on the Clio.

It's all about popular trends tbh, like how white seem to have 'come into fashion' recently.
