ph2 172 or 172 cup?

As above really looking for one or the other had a cup already so know how good they are but are they that much better than the normal ones as looking on PH & AT seems i can get a really nice normal for the price of a rough cup.

have around 2k to spend pushed to 2.5k so not expecting anything showroom
