Ph2 172 Speedo Problem

  172
Done a quick search on my tempremental speedo and found its probably the connections into back of the clocks, Just wondering if there is a guide at removing the clocks / getting into the connectors

Mine was just fluttering a bit on m-way but now its more often deciding to work again after stopping at a juntion :(

from searching forums looks like its only the mk1 172 that has the sensor and the later one runs off the ABS?

Sensor into the gearbox is more likely to be at fault.

Theres a few with this but I've yetb to see any phase 2's with them.

The speedo feed is 99.9999% going to come from the ABS system in which case if your not throwing an ABS problem then as you said its the connectros.

To get to the dials remove the top of the dash and you can then get to the two clips at the back of the dash.
