Phase 1, Phase 2 exhaust question

Are they the same from cat back, got chance of a good system but its on an 02 plate and mines 2000. Not sure if it will fit though:S

They made single lambda and twin lambda double barrel cats, it WILL fit the twin lambda fine, but not the single lambda ones.

ahh i thought the ones with 2 lambda had a cat like a phase 2, and single lambda was a double cat

but yes if its single lambda it wont fit

Twin lambda`s are lambda-cat-lambda,exhaust,back box...if its back box then it should fit,ive had cat back`s on my ph`s 1 and they fit.

Basically you will only have problems if you have a single lambda cat, which most Phase 1's (but NOT all) have. All Phase 2's are single lambda.
They made double barrel cats in both single and double lambda format, thankfully its very easy to spot by looking under the car.
Twin lambda cats are slightly longer, therefore the mid section is shorter on these cars to make up for this - the backbox is unchanged.
