Phase 1 -> Phase 2

Couple of quickys...
1. Will phase2 16v light clusters go straight onto my phase1 16v?
2. Will the phase2 grill bit (single bar) swap straight over with my phase1 grill (double bar)
3. How easy are the plastic strips under the headlights to remove and body colour? It feels like that dodgy plastic that doesnt spray up too well...
4. phase 2 ariel (nice and small) swap with my phase1 ariel (i like it but its a bit big)
5. How easy is it to swap bulbs in the front fog lamps? Or do you need to change the whole lamp unit?
Thankyou!

1. Will phase2 16v light clusters go straight onto my phase1 16v?
-YES

2. Will the phase2 grill bit (single bar) swap straight over with my phase1 grill (double bar)
-Dunno, some say it will, some say it wont

3. How easy are the plastic strips under the headlights to remove and body colour? It feels like that dodgy plastic that doesnt spray up too well...
-Very easy, they are attatched to the bottom of the head light, just take off teh headlights and unscrew them. The plastic is fine, mine are sprayed.

4. phase 2 ariel (nice and small) swap with my phase1 ariel (i like it but its a bit big)
-yes, it just screws in

5. How easy is it to swap bulbs in the front fog lamps? Or do you need to change the whole lamp unit?
-Just take the bulb out from the back...work from behind the bumper, youwill see how it unclips

Thankyou!
-No worries

2. Will the phase2 grill bit (single bar) swap straight over with my phase1 grill (double bar)
-Yes it will just need the clips too.

Grill - the clips are 81p each and uts a straight swap, dont buy the grill from renault, they wanted £45, i got one from a scraper,

phase 2 lights will look funny unless you get the phase 2 trim at the bottom of the grill as well, otherwise they stick out,

fog lamps are secured by two screws, the two in the middle not the single one at the top which adjusts the angle, it will be obvious when you try and remove them

my ariel was increadably tight so beware! it needed pliers so secure the base or you will twist the metal it mounts onto.

i meany rear light clusters too, i mean the plastic trim that runs along the bottom between the lights, it needs to be flush with the back of the lights or it looks funny

4 - get a Peugeot aerial - a lot tidier and smaller and it fits the exact same thread as the Renault baseplate.

5 - just undo the two screws at the side of the fog. The whole unit comes out and then its pretty obvious what to do next.

Pug aerial eh? good call. I see wot you mean about the rear clusters - im heading to a scrappy at the weekend so hopefully ill be able to pilfer a few bits!!
