Phase 2 or 3

Now dudes, Im going to see a clio tommorow in a garage that they have just got in.
Its a 53 reg and was registered in november 2003. I have the reg aswell. I was just wondering if without seeing it their is anyway to tell if it is a ph2 or ph3?

There are 53 plate "Phase 3s" around though.

"Phase 3" has grey headlight surrounds.

Phase 2 has black. Easiest way to tell.

Is the only difference the headlights? Are phase 4 the fugly ones with the rear plate recessed into the bumper?

that will probably be a ph3 unless its late registered, my 100 is a ph3 and was registered then.

differences....
grey headlights
facelift front bumper with lower grill
different upper grille
different interior pattern
different dials with digital fuel and coolant temp guages
colourcoded rear spoiler on dynamiques
no glovebox light
models with aircon got the aircon glove box

whats the latest year that u can get a mk 2 ph 2, had sum bloke down the street said he could have bought a cat d phase 2 for £1400 yesterday and he rekons it was on an '06, but i rekon he was full of it cos i am sure they finished on a '55...

Phase 2's stopped in...late 2003 I think, or maybe early 2004. But, the early Campus models had a hybrid ph2/ph3 exterior (ph2 bumpers, ph3 spoiler and wheels) so he might not have been bullshitting. Campus's (or is it Campi) started on 06 plates.

You can, as Scott says there was a Campus model before the really ugly one which was a weird mix of Ph2 and Ph3 stuff which ran from 55 to 56.
